After receiving the boas, it is recommended to remove them from the PVC bag(s), preferably outdoors, to get rid of any debris formed during processing and shipping. The boas should then be hung for 48 to 72 hours before use. The longer they are hung, the better the boas will appear.

Feather boas are also washable. To clean them, hand wash in warm water and soap, then rinse off the soap with cold water. Wipe the boas with a towel or paper towels to remove excess water, and then use a blow dryer to finish drying and maintain their fluffiness. All of our feather products have been professionally cleaned, steamed, and sanitized.
